BERWICK, Maine — Deborah Ann Lyman, 51, of Lyman Street, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H., following a long illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1958, on Long Island, N.Y., a daughter of Francis James McNiece Sr. and Lorraine Alice (Lietz) McNiece.
Deborah spent her early years on Long Island before moving with her family to Portsmouth, N.H., in the late 1960s.

Survivors include her husband, James Kevin Lyman of Dover, N.H.; two daughters, Tessa Lyman of Dover and Trista Cleary of Rochester, N.H.; two brothers, Francis James McNiece Jr. and Charlie McNiece, both of Florida; two sisters, Diane Wheeler of Sanford and Kathleen Brown of Berwick; her father, Francis James McNiece Sr. of Florida; one granddaughter, Temika Jill Lyman; and her caregiver and companion for the last 15 years, Mark Croteau of Berwick. She was also expecting the birth of a grandson, Drake Mitchell Cleary of Rochester.
WE REMEMBER: Deborah lived in Eliot before settling in Berwick.
She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She raised her two daughters and one granddaughter. She was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed crafts of all kinds. She derived the most enjoyment from her family.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, 36 Rochester St., Berwick, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick. Arrangements are in care of Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel
