LEWISTOWN - Jack E. Crissman, 89, of Lewistown, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at his home.
Born in Lewistown on June 12, 1921, he was a son of the late Wayne L. and Margaret J. (Oren) Crissman. His wife, Betty L.

(Erdley) Crissman, preceded him in death in 1981.
Surviving are his daughters, Ann Walters and husband Rodney, of Walworth, N.Y. and Jill Richard and husband Michael, of

Lewistown; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by two brothers and one granddaughter.
In his early years, he was the traffic manager of Noerr Motor Freight for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was a World War II U.S.

Army veteran. Jack was wounded in action and received many medals and the Purple Heart.
He was a member of Grace UMC, Lewistown, where he served in numerous capacities over the years. Jack was also a member

of D.A.V. chapter 50.
More recently, he enjoyed going to McDonald's daily for coffee and stories.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at the Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc.,

Woodlawn, 200 N Main St., Lewistown.
Interment will be in the Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewistown, with the Rev. Richard Bender officiating.
Memorials may be made to Grace UMC Memorial Fund, 101 Logan St., Lewistown, or a charity of one's choice.
