Erma Lucille Moore Blair, 96, of Indiana, Pa., died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Beacon Ridge.

A daughter of the late Albert W. and Triphena Blake Moore, she was born March 20, 1914, in Northville, S.D.

Mrs. Blair completed elementary school and high school in South Dakota and graduated from God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married the Rev. Clyde A. Blair on Aug. 22, 1936. She assisted him in pastoral ministry for 42 years. Mrs. Blair was vice president of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Women's Missionary Society for 33 years. Her life was totally committed to serving Christ and leading others to him. Her life was a glowing example of a Christ-filled life.

She is survived by four sons, the Rev. William A. Blair Sr. and his wife, Phyllis, of Indiana, Dr. Donald C. Blair and his wife, Nancy, of Syracuse, N.Y., Gerald L. Blair and his wife, Ruth, of Indiana, and Harold W. Blair and his wife, Jeri, of Erie; a brother, George Moore of Prescott, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Blair; three brothers, Alfred W., Frank and Clayton A. Moore; three sisters, Katherine Shea, Pauline Locke and Beatrice Churchill.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., 36 N. Seventh St., Indiana, and one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, 12th and Church Street, Indiana, with the Rev. Joseph Smith and the Rev. William Cope officiating. Interment will be in Sheakleyville Cemetery.
