Graveside service was held on Monday, May 16, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy for Geneva "Gene" M. TACKE, 78, of Central City. Lillian PHILLIPS officiated.
TACKE died on Friday May 13, at Friendship House of Centralia. She was born in Alma on August 18, 1932, the daughter of Jesse and Dolly (KAISER) CHARLTON. On September 17, 1977, she married Albert F. "Bud" TACKE.
She was owner and operator of Casey Cycle Center, Casey Transmission Service, and Casey Exterminating in Central City. During her retirement, she worked at Dobbs Bargain City and Central City Plumbing. She was an avid fishing woman and gardener, and her family was first on her list of loves. Gene and her husband wintered in Florida for several years.
Survivors include: a daughter, Gwen KIRGAN and special friend Steve TALBERT of Centralia; grandsons, Casey MULVANEY of Centralia, Jesse MULVANEY and wife Jennifer STALEY MULVANEY of Centralia, and Zack MULVANEY of Odin; a granddaughter, Misty Eve MULVANEY and husband Michael LOVERING of Lakeland, Florida; great-grandsons, Brett, Kyle and John MULVANEY; great-granddaughters, Haley and Kaylynn MULVANEY, both of Centralia; great-grandchildren, Homer, Hiley, Harlee, Hannan and Hunter LOVERING, all of Lakeland, Florida; a sister-in-law, Joan KLINE; stepsons, Robert CASEY and wife Kathy of Adel, Iowa, and Buddy TACKE; a stepdaughter, Verna DECKER; and a friend of the family, Winnie ROBERTSON.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband on January 12, 2010: a son, Thomas MULVANEY; and a brother, Larry CHARLTON.
Memorialsmay be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society, and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, which is in charge of arrangements.
