Services for Clarence G.Kercher,77,of 453 Parkview Road, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. The Rev.William A.Sherman will officiate in the Lutz Funeral Home Inc.,Mount Penn. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park,Reiffton. He died Friday morning in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center,where he had been a patient since Nov.11. He was born in Temple,a son of the late Ambrose and Lillie Mae (Hart)Kercher. Kercher had been employed as a laborer by the former A.J.Brumbach Woolen Mills,St.Lawrence,for 34 years,and was last employed by the St.Lawrence Carbonizing Co. for eight years,retiring in 1969.Surviving are his wife Elsie (Pfeffer)Kercher;three daughters:Dorothy M.Killian,St.Lawrence;Miriam A.,wife of Glen Eller Jr.,Temple;and Joan M.,wife of Russell Hafer,Birdsboro;two sons:Frederick R.,Reading;and Clarence G.Jr.,Hyde Villa;20 grandchildren;and 13 great-grandchildren. Three sisters:Edith,wife of Irvin Fetter,Denver;Catharine,wife of Andrew Winters,Green Tree Acres;and Bertha,widow of Heber Snyder,Reading;five brothers:Earl,Temple;Harry,Reading R.D.4;Elmer,Mount Penn;and Paul and Amos,both of Reading.
