Nicklaus J. Lambries, age 87, of 3813 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Saturday, July 11, 1998. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 1998, at St.
Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robert Simensen, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born August 16, 1910, in Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Nick and Gertrude Lallensack Lambries. Nick was a graduate on (sic) Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On October 9, 1948, he married the former Sylvia G. Osulson in Manitowoc. She
preceded him in death January 23, 1992. In November of 1992, he married LaVerne Mae Holly.

Nick started his employment at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, as a Machinist Apprentice from 1927 until 1931. He then worked for Manitowoc Engineering Company as a Personnel Manager, retiring in 1978. Nick worked with apprentices for 25 years, and was installed into the Apprenticeship Hall of Fame at Madison in January 1984, for the development work of the machinists apprenticeship program at Manitowoc engineering Company. He was past president of Local Machinist Union #516, and past president of N.E. Industrial Safety Council. His other memberships include Eagles Arie #706, and the Manitowoc Masons.

Survivors include his wife, LaVerne, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kathy Lambries, Richland Center; one sister-in-law, Ora Lambries, Manitowoc; one niece, Laverne (John) Olson, Ellison Bay; two grandchildren, Justin and Callie Lambries; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Jerry Surprenant, Wofford Heights, Calif.; one step-son and daughter-in-law, David and Janis Holly, New Berlin; six step-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends also surviving. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Lambries; and a sister, Gertrude Boldt.

Friends may call at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. Wednesday, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
