Mr. Stone who was born in Oberlin, farmed most of his life in Olmsted Falls and Columbia Twp. He was a retired US Department of Agriculture employee.
He was a graduate of Oberlin High School and the Oberlin School of Commerce, and was a World War I Army veteran.
His father, Judson Stone, was at one time Mayor of Oberlin and an Ohio State Senator.
Mr. Stone served as president of the Olmsted Twp Board of Trustees for 12 years, and was on the Southwest General Hospital Board of Directors for 2 terms.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rachel (nee Walkden); a son, Kenneth C. Of Tavares, Fla.; daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Donna) Nalazek of Berea and Mrs. Raymond (Doris) Roemer of Columbia Station; four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul J. Of Oberlin and a sister, Dorothea Robinson of Oberlin.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Stone and brothers, Robert and Frank.
Graveside services for the family will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Columbia Cemetery.
The Rev. Nancy Frank, pastor of Columbia Baptist Church will
officiate.
The Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
