AUTO ACCIDENT BRINGS DEATH TO PHILLIP SERREDELL

Phillip Serredell, well known Concord resident, died at the Martinez hospital Sunday night from injuries received in an auto-train crash the previous evening.

The accident occurred when an automobile driven by Mr. Serredell's son-in-law, Guy Husse of Antioch, crashed into a freight train near Pittsburg, at the crossing where the siding extends into the plant of the Stockton Fire Brick company. The machine was almost completely demolished and the driver suffered lacerations, bruises and shock.

Mr. Serreldell's wife preceded him in death by a few years and his passing leaves the following children orphans: James, Delphina, Donald, Nona, Doris, Frank, Mary and John. Several years ago the family came to Concord to reside.

The deceased was employed as a machinist in Pittsburg.

The remains were taken to San Francisco, where the funeral was held yesterday.
