Herzog continued to run the company until his death at 57, although by the end, it had shrunk from a warehouse on the industrial waterfront to an office in the Sharon Building. He was survived by his wife, two sons George and Ernest, and a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Kyle, all from his first marriage.
