OBITUARY:
Olive E Tuffley was born in St. Louis, Mo., January 3, 1845, and died October 7 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Reynolds of this city, after a short illness, age 77 years, 8 months and 29 days.

When 16 years old she moved with her parents to Red Bud, Ill., where on October 11, 1865, she was married to C.N. Fairchild, who died at Winnview, September 15, 1907.

She leaves to mourn her loss six daughters and two sons -- Mrs. L. Rock of Olathe, Kan., Mrs. A. Landes, Mrs. C.D. Wynn, E.N. Fairchild, J.W. Fairchild and Mrs. Frank Winn of Watonga, Mrs. Grant Gardner of Clifton, Kan., and Mrs. R.L. Reynolds of this city -- all of whom were present at the funeral. One son, Seldon, died at the age of 2 years. Fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters, besides many friends in Kansas and Oklahoma survive. She was converted at an early age and lived a faithful Christian life. (Clifton News, Thursday, 10 October 1922)
