Susan Isenhower the daughter of Michael and Marilla Knickerbocker Isenhour was born 27 May 1819 in New York State; probably Ontario County as her parents had married in Seneca. The family moved to Woolwich Twp., Waterloo County, Ontario in 1837. Her father was a blacksmith; and George Streeter, who had emigrated from Shipley, Sussex, England apprenticed with him. George and Susan married; probably in 1838. They were the parents of eight children. They lived in the same location through the 1881 census and then they moved to Michigan to be near their daughter Mary and her husband Dan Carpenter. Susan missed Ontario; and they returned there; where she died 17 May 1884. She is buried in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. Her husband returned to MI; died and was buried there. - Virginia Sande 3/29/12

Children not linked: George and Susan's daughter Lavinia married William Secoy and moved to Dickey County, ND, son James married Anne and moved to Chattanooga, TN, and son John apparently never married and moved to Mecosta County, MI.
