DR. GEORGE F. HORN DEAD
(Haverhill, Mass., Gazette)
Dr. George F. Horn, who had built up an extensive osteopath practice in the city during the five years he had been here, died at his home, 64 Main St., Saturday evening, following an illness that dated back to last November.  At the end death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.  The funeral will be held from the late home Wednesday afternoon and internment will be in this city.

Born in Lafayette, Indiana, the deceased was for 15 years employed in the Merchants' National Bank working his way to the position of paying teller.  He became interested in the science of osteopathy and with Mrs. Horn entered the American School of Osteopathy at Kirksville, MO., graduating from there with  honors in the same class as his wife in Jan 1907.  Learning of an opening in this city and having a natural yearning for New England, they located in this city five years ago last February.  From there until the time Dr. Horn was forced by illness to give up his practice, they have enjoyed a lucrative practice and have won the confidence and esteem of hundreds of people with whom they came in contact.

Dr. and Mrs. Horn were married 18 years ago.  Besides the widow, the deceased leaves a brother W. L. Horn, of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Miss Flora Horn of Lafayette,  and Mrs. Frank H. Jordan of Moline, Ill.  He was a member of the Royal Arcanum and the Masons, but took his interest in his home.  It was there he loved most to be and where he was to be found when not at his work.

Dr. Horn was very devoted to his profession and had been highly successful in it.  He was a quiet and unassuming man and had a thoroughly clean record.  With Mrs. Horne he made friends without number and came to be a highly respected member of the community of his adoption.  He lived in Lafayette, the town of his birth, until he came to Haverhill, and there he has countless friends, all of whom will mourn the demise of a man who was generally liked and whose integrity could never be questioned.

Mrs. Horn was Miss Mary Barr, who prior to her marriage, was a teacher at Westminster seminary in this city and will be well remembered by many friends in Fort Wayne who will sympathize with her deeply in her bereavement.  Mrs. Horn remains in Haverhill with a niece.
