She taught voice and was the President of the Women's Committee, Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra until she passed away. Carl William was a twin who died two days after birth. Another son, Peter Nye Bonner (1946-2018) was born in San Francisco. Both of Alma's parents immigrated to the USA from Sweden.
