Mrs. Carlton, daughter of the late W. J. and Jennie Jenkins Hulsey, was born in Polk County and had spent her entire life here. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Mrs. Carlton was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, E. W. Carlton, Jr., of Rockmart; three grandsons, Ken Carlton, Bob Carlton and Dan Carlton, all of Rockmart. One great-grandson also survives.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home. The Rev. W. C. Corley and the Rev. Jimmy Hatcher officiated and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joel Goldin, Ed Noland, Hugh McRae, Bill Dean and Dub Barrow.
The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
