Clydia Jean Freeman, age 79 of LaFollette, went home to be the Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her residence. Mom was born on February 6, 1933 in Union County, Tennessee to the late Charlie McCuen and Eltha Dial Sweat. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in LaFollette. Mom enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a faithful homemaker who enjoyed quilting and she made several different quilts that were sent to many states. She was an avid Tennessee Lady Vol and Atlanta Braves fan. She was called "Mom" by several people at the Lake City Ballfield. In addition to her parents, Mom is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Freeman, her daughter, Joyce Freeman, and her brother J.W. Sweat.
