R.B. Stewart built a lot of what became the modern Purdue University between 1925 when he became the controller and 1961 when he retired as vice president and treasurer. In 1971, Stewart made a gift to Purdue of his home, Westwood, and it has served as the home of Purdue’s President since that time.
