Irene Hays Shewmaker, 92, of Mason Avenue, will be 2 pm Sunday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev Clyde Strunk. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. She died Wednesday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Emma Pearl Tatum Hays. She was a homemaker, a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and the widow of Prentice Shewmaker. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Marie Cummins of Harrodsburg; two sons, DeRotha "Woe" Shewmaker of Danville and Tallmadge "Tuck" Shewmaker of Parksville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may go to Gethsemane Baptist Church building fund or Heritage Hospice.
