OLD RESIDENT IS DEAD
On Sunday morning the death angel plucked from our midst Lydia Butler.
Lydia A. Stearns was born March 6, 1833 in Hartford, NY and died January 7, 1917 at her Nashua home.
On Feb. 22, 1852 she was united in marriage to Bartlette Butler who died just five months ago.
After an attack of the Grippe a week before her death her health gradually failed. Next month would have been their 65th anniversary.
Mrs. Butler was a pioneer in Nashua over 50 years. Her dearest interest being her home and family. Five children were born to the couple, three surviving: Mrs. Emma Rouse of Richland, WA., Mrs. Lois Griswould of St. Paul, MN., and Mrs. Ella Sutherland of Nashua.
Funeral services were held at the home at 2 pm with Rev. Pease officiating burial was in Oakhill Cemetery.
