Bonnie Mae Bell Smith, 97, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, March 26, 2012.

She was born in Lexington in Lee County, Texas, to Willie Hampton Bell and Lottie Morrison Bell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Floyd Samuel Smith. Bonnie was one of eleven children, seven brothers and three sisters, all preceded her in death.

Bonnie faithfully attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for many years and First Baptist Church of Oak Hill until her health no longer allowed. When she was told Jesus loved her and was waiting for her, she said she loved HIM and that was good news. Bonnie was a lovely daughter, wife, mother and friend. She always loved playing cards and dominoes with her friends and family.

Bonnie is survived by her six children, two daughters, and four sons, Bonnie Vincik and husband Walter of Shiner, Texas, Jimmy Smith of Austin, Texas, Wayne Smith and wife Erny of Leander, Texas, Gene Smith and wife Sandy of Nipomo, California, Dee Smith and wife Linda of Austin, Texas, Elaine Cowan and husband Bill of Lampasas, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel South Congress with Pastor Raymond Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Cemetery.
