Cynthia "Musie" Chestnut, 59, of Calabash, NC died Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Autumn Care Nursing Home, Shallotte, NC.

Ms. Chestnut was born January 21, 1953 in Conway, SC to the late Tom Edward and Willow Ray Beck "Mickie" Chestnut.

She was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School 1973 and more recently attended Brunswick Interagency Program at Brunswick Community College.

She is survived by two brothers, Tom E. "Monk" Chestnut of Calabash, NC and Edward "Tub" Chestnut, wife, Lou Ann, of Little River, SC; and two sisters, Brenda C. Moore, husband, Ralph, of Surfside Beach, SC and Debbie Morgan, husband, James Morgan, Jr., of Calabash, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Beulah Baptist Church by the Reverend Jesse Stevens, the Reverend Jerry Prince, and the Reverend Michael Blevins. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Family Cemetery, Longs, SC.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Casketbearers will be Guy Chestnut, Keith Gurganus, Forrest King, Harold Chestnut, Mike Vereen, Randy Hardee, and Todd Chestnut.

To all that knew her, Cynthia was a loving person and such a blessing to us all. She was like a ray of sunshine that would brighten your day anytime you were around her. She was an angel sent from heaven to bless our family. We will truly miss her, but we'll have so many precious memories to cherish forever-especially that sweet smile.
