Born to Arnold Chimo, Sr. and Ilona Helen Galbavy, at home on Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Ohio's Little Hungary - Arnold was their third child and second son.

A beautiful baby, and a handsome child, he was doted on (maybe spoiled a bit) by his Mother (who dearly loved all children).

From all accounts his family was warm and caring.

He grew up to love animals and was interested in a variety of things - school not being one of them. He had to repeat 3rd grade.

As a child, Arnold was sent out to his Aunt and Uncle's farm in Independence, Ohio to help out in the Summer. From his recollection, it looked as though he was able to get in lots of playtime, in spite of having to do some "farm chores".

Dad's family reminded me of the story about the Town Mouse and the Country Mouse - Dad's father, Arnold Sr., was a banker in Cleveland, Ohio; while Dad's uncle (and Arnold Sr.'s brother, Nicholas) was a farmer in Independence, Ohio.
