Ellen was born Aug. 11, 1907, to William Keech and Jennie Lederer Keech. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield, Mo. She was united in marriage to Clifford A. Ferrell on March 18, 1928, and to this union three children were born, Jennie Lou Ferrell Rhoten, Francis Pauline and Paul Eugene Ferrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children; three brothers; two sisters; three grandsons; and a great-grandson.
She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Jennell Fleetwood and her husband, Bob, and three especially close great-grandsons, Jason, Travis and Gabriel; and other grandchildren, Darel Rhoten, Michael Rhoten, Judy Broome, Tammy Johnson, and Chrissy Miller. A special sister-in-law and nephew Mary and Robb Keech, survive. Also surviving are eight other great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Ellen was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Springfield, and enjoyed her many friends and fellowship of the Single Adult 2 Class.
She enjoyed her 10 years of volunteer work in Cox Medical Center North, where she donated 12,840 hours of herself. Many of those hours were spent with friends in the Emerald Garden Cafe. Her loving "hugs" will be missed by a host of family and friends.
Burial in Eastlawn Cemetery.
