Alfro S. Lawson, age 63 years of Sharon, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 1975 due to accidental drowning while fishing in Lake Taneycomo near Kimberling City, Mo. Mr. Lawson was born January 13, 1912, in Maries County, Missouri, the son of James N. and Olive Rosetta (Shelton) Lawson. He was married October 13, 1966 in Rockford, Ill. to Marion Chambers who survives of the home.

Mr. Lawson was a graduate of Vienna High School and Missouri University. He served in the Army in World War II. After the service he lived in Chicago, Baltimore and New Orleans where he had been an immigration inspector, a Naturalization Supervisor, an Intelligence Analyst and a teacher for several years in Maries County.

Mr. Lawson retired in 1965 and moved to Sharon, Wisconsin in 1969. He was Records Custodian for the First National Bank in Chicago until 1973. Mr. Lawson also was employed by the Missouri State Social Security Commission, a member of the Vienna Masonic Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose, the Real Estate Association of McHenry Co., Ill. and the Lions Club in Harvard, Ill.

Surviving other than his wife Marion are one brother, Wayne Lawson of Tuscumbia, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Dale Hinson of Dixon, Mo.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 1975 at the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo. Pallbearers were Richard Lawson, Dean Lawson, Bill Weathers, Tony Mack Shelton, James Duncan and Wayne Vaughn.
