St. John- Russell Edward Baker, 52, of Kingfisher, Okla, died Thursday near Hennessey, Okla. He was a pumper for Continental Oil Company.
He we born July 10, 1914 at Macksville and was married to Verlie Snook in Jan 1936 at Hopewell. They were residents of St. John for about 20 years.
He was a member of Ionic Lodge 254, Eagles in Great Bend and the Methodist church in St. John.
Survivors include the widow; son, Dennis of St John; daughters, Mrs Fayola Womack of Pratt, Mrs Leola Campbell of Wichita,( sisters) Mrs P. O Smith of Pratt, Mrs F L Young of Hutchinson, Mrs Floyd Huffman of Fort Dodge and six Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 :00 today at the First Methodist Church in St John with Rev William Wilkoff officiating.
Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville with Masonic graveside services.
