A lingering illness from dropsy and heart disease resulted in the death of Theodore Carpenter, aged fifty years, shortly after noon Friday. With the exception of the past two years that the deceased had resided in Summerfield he had been a life long resident of the Calais vicinity. He
was a son of Elijah Carpenter and wife and is survived by his widow and two sons, Herbert and Victor, of the home, and the following brothers and sisters; Benjamin, of Athens, Mrs. Daniel Baker, of Kuhn, Leonard, Jonathan and Celesta Carpenter and Mrs. James Barnes, of Summerfield.
