Mrs. Bertha Hall Talbott, outstanding genealogical authority and a leader of the Daughters of the American Revolution, died Sunday at her home in Rockville. She was 73 years old.

Mrs. Talbott was the wife of William H. Talbott, oldest living member of the Rockville bar. The former Bertha Hall, she was born in Poolesville, a member of an old Montgomery county family. She lived for a time in Hagerstown, but had spent the last 30 years in Rockville.

Former vice president general of the D.A.R., Mrs. Talbott was once national chairman of the organization's Old Trails road committee. She was a found and former secretary-treasurer of the National Officers and State Regents Club of the D.A.R.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Walter G. Ellison, of Waynesboro, Va.; a son, William Randolph Talbott, of Rockville, and two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Fletchall and Mrs. R. S. Owens, of Roanoke, Va.

Funeral services at her home, 122 South Van Buren Street, Rockville, at 3 p.m., today. Burial in Rockville Union Cemetery.
