Miss Lizzie as she was known to all, lived all her life in Florence County in the Kingsburg area, known as Savage when she was small.
After the death of her mother and father she continued to live on the family farm with her brother William who also never married.
At the time of her death Miss Lizzie was the oldest member of Trinity Church where she is now buried. She was also a member of the Kingsburg Garden and Book Club.
She attended locals schools and then went on to college at Columbia Female College in Columbia. Miss Lizzie was the last surviving member of the family of Captain Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Stone Johnson.
