Mrs. Rudolph Wagner, 84, died in the hospital at 8:30 AM, Thursday, following a lingering illness.
Nee Ida Sommer, she was born June 14, 1869 in the town of Mosel, the daughter of the late Gustav and Friedericka Sommer. She was confirmed in the St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church, town of Mosel, on April 2, 1882 by the Rev. J Holzapfel.
On September 13, 1894 she was married to Rudolph Wagner of the town of Mosel. The couple lived on a farm in the town of Herman for 57 years. In 1944 they celebrated their golden anniversary. They moved to Sheboygan in 1951 and have since made their home with her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Wesener.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Wesener; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Elsie, preceded Mrs. Wagner in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, at the St. John's Church, town of Herman. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate, and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Walter H Ahrens funeral home, Howards Grove, from 2 PM Saturday until 11 AM Sunday, when it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the hour of services.
