Services will be 10 am Tuesday, at the Joseph A Butler and Son Chapel, 19th and Minnesota Avenue; entombment in Mt Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sisters Servants of Mary, 800 N 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
Mr Horvatin was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and was [a] lifelong resident, he was a Navy Veteran of WWII and member of VFW Post 1000. He was a member of the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Posse for thirty-five years. He retired in 1983 as body shop foreman for White Motor Company. He was Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Fay; sons, Fred Horvatin, Gladstone, Missouri, and Mike Horvatin, St James, Missouri; brother, Carl Horvatin, Shawnee, Kansas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
