Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Nemo Baptist Church, north of Pittsburg, for John S. Pitts, 78, long-time Pittsburg resident who died at 3 p.m.
yesterday at his home there.
A onetime farmer, Mr. Pitts had been ill for about a year.
Survivors include his wife, Maude; step-son, Calude Patterson of Urbana; two brothers, W.F. Pitts Auburn, Calif., and Archie Pitts of Urbana; two step-grandchildren and a step-great grandson.
The Rev. Harold Hager will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Vaughan of Urbana.
