She was born in Canton Township, Bradford County, Pa. Her marriage with Mr. Monroe, her third husband, was solemnized in the fall of 1886.
She joined the Baptist church at an early age, and throughout her life was known for her piety and lovely Christian character. One of her greatest delights seemed to be in performing kindly offices for others.
She leaves beside her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Starkey, of Richmond Township.
The funeral was held from the home, July 4th, the Rev. F. W. Reynolds officiating. Her remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, this village.
