Sue Ellis Hunter passed peacefully from this earth on March 22, 2012 in the presence of loving family. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Branson Ellis and wife of Maxcy Patterson Hunter, Sr., Sue is survived by her husband and four children: John Ellis Hunter (Valerie) , Carole Senn (Ben), Maxcy Patterson Hunter, Jr. (Lynn) and Ann Marie Tribble (Bill). Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also mourn her loss. Sue's love of life and her courage in the face of illness is a testimony to her strong faith in God. Sue met Maxcy, her teenage sweetheart, at a YPCU party at Ora ARP Church. Hearing her laughter from another room, Macxy's comment was, "…anyone who enjoyed life that much-- I just had to meet her!" The two courted for four years while Sue attended Lander and Maxcy started Clemson University. Upon his return from serving in WWII veteran in the Yokahama Japan they married at Ora ARP Church. They moved to Clemson, SC where Maxcy earned a degree in Animal Husbandry, and Sue earned her PHT, "Putting Hubby Through". The couple moved home to the Hunter family farm where they raised their four children in the love of close family and the extended family of Ora ARP Church. Sue will be remembered by her children as a loving mother who made each one of them feel special and wanted. She made every snow day, every Christmas morning, and every family gathering a joy to be remembered and cherished.
