BANKER DIES AT ALHAMBRA HOME
ALHAMBRA, Jan. 22 - George W. Meeker, 66 years of age, a director in the First National Bank of Beverly Hills, and for many years prominently identified with banking institutions in Nebraska, is dead at his home, 400 North Almansor street. He was stricken with a heart attack and died within a few hours.
He leaves a widow,
one daughter, Mrs. Marie Rogers, Lincoln, Neb.,
and one son, Leo M. Meeker, president of the First National Bank of Beverly Hills.
Mr. Meeker was a native of Farmington, Ill. Practically all his business life was spent in or near Lincoln, Neb. He had been connected with banks in Garland, Exeter, Adams, Murdock and Lincoln, Neb., and prior to coming to Alhambra seven years ago was manager of the First National Bank of Greenwood, Neb.
