Mrs. Annie L. Waltz, 83, widow of Crosby Waltz, died August 6 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Newcomb at Randolph, Mass. She was born in Gloucester, Mass., April 2, 1874, the daughter of Capt. Charles and Margaret Imlay Anderson. She had resided in Waldoboro for 48 years. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church there for 35 years, was a past worthy matron of Wiwurna Chapter, OES, past noble grand of Good Luck Rebekah Lodge and a member of the women's missionary society of the Baptist Church. Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, Everett Waltz of Westerly, RI.; three grandchildren and one brother, Albert H. Anderson of Philadelphia, Pa. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Waltz Funeral Home in Waldoboro with the Rev. D.L. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery.
