SHELBYVILLE - Services for Edna Foster VanMeter, 70, of 8189 Vigo Rd., Bagdad, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Funeral Home. Shed died Wednesday at King's Daughters Memorial Hospital, Frankfort. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery. A farmer and housewife, she was a member of Bagdad Baptist Church and the Shelby County Democratic Women's Club. Surviving are two sons; David VanMeter, Jr., Frankfot and Eddie Glenn VanMeter, Taylorsville; two daughters, Peggy Perry, Bagdad, and Joyce Lilly, Greensboro, Georgia; a foster son, John Thomas Montgomery, Bagdad; four sisters, Katherine Fust, Tallahasse, Florida; Margaret Anderson, Shelbyville; Dorothy Blackaby, Tallahasse, Florida and Elizabeth Whitaker, Owensboro; a brother James Chester Foster, Louisville, 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was the daughter of the late James Larkin and Ida Chester Foster. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday
