Mrs. Rufus A Bortner - Mrs. Amelia Dorothy Bortner, 90, former Resident of South Dewey Road, Amherst, died today at 6:30 a.m. at Elria Memorial Hospital after an illness of three weeks.
Born in Amherst Township, Mrs. Bortner had lived in Amherst most of her life. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ. Her husband, Rufus A., died Oct. 1, 1960, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Stang died in 1957.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Irma) Eichholz of Lorain, Mrs Arthur (Helen) Marquis of Elyria and Mrs. Chester (Grayce) Urban of Avon Lake; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a brother, Albert W Rahl, Elyria.
Friends will be received tomorrow, 2:20 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home, Amhust, where the funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. the Rev. Robert A. Happel will officiate. burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
