103 years, 2 months, 27 days.

On March 24, 2012 Grandma passed away in Placerville, California. She was born December 25, 1908 to William Virgil and Clara Gertrude Evenson Hamby in Kooskia, Idaho.

Leta met and married James "Curtis" Jones in Scottsdale, Arizona. They were happily married for 61 years.

Leta was a founding organizer of the "Donner Club" of Auburn, California. She won many awards for her floral arrangements and displays.

She was creative, imaginative and just plain fun to be with. She enjoyed Visiting with family and felt this was the most important thing to do. Then she enjoyed Finding rocks, Making jewelry with the stones she found, Playing music, Swimming, Gardening (Growing some beautiful flowering plants), Ballroom dancing with Grandpa, Hiking, Cooking, Baking (Some very wonderful stuff), Sewing, Quilting, Reading and Fishing.

Grandma told me: "In this world you've got to hope do the best and prepare for the worst and take whatever God sends." Which is how she lived her life.

Leta was the proud mother of Leland, James and Melissa. The Grandmother of Evleta, Lanita and Harlin III. The Great Grandmother of Sean, Cassandra, Brandi, Randy, Sarah, Emily and Harlin IV.

Grandma out lived her Brother and Sisters, but she left many Nieces and Nephews which she loved as her own children and Grand children.
