Mr. Biddle who was employed by the Valvoline Oil Co. for a number of years until his retirement in 1945, came to Marietta in 1948 from Matamoras and operated a grocery store at the corner of Washington and Eighth streets.
He was born June 2, 1883, in New Matamoras, a son of the late Lloyd and Sarah Mitchell Biddle. On Jan. 23, 1913, he was married to Clara Edna Taylor, who died on Feb. 24, 1948. He was a member of the Matamoras
Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Robert Biddle of Wooster; one daughter, Mrs. Reymann DeLong, of 618 Eighth St., with whom he made his home and seven grandchildren; Judith, Timothy and Nathan
DeLong and Jack, Terry, Virginia and Rodney Biddle.
