Willard Dyer "Sonny" Brown, 68, of Tampa, Fla., died Friday morning at James A. Haley Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tampa.

Mr. Brown was a tool and die machinist.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Willard Dyer Brown Jr., and his wife, Kathy Brown, of Greeneville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Connie S. and Lawrence C. Lang Jr. of Middlesburg Heights, Ohio, and Doris and Carl Brown of Greeneville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Joseph N. and Hiawapha B. Brown of Cocke County; several nieces and nephews; a special friend: Nancy Swilley of Tampa; and a number of other friends in Tampa.

He was a son of the late Tivis W. and Cora Agnes Wills Brown and was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth W. Brown; and a sister: Helen B. Wilhoit.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in River Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Wayland Fillers will officiate.
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990, will conduct a military graveside service.

Active pallbearers will be Willard Dyer Brown Jr., Kenny Ricker, Douglas Jones, Joey Brown, Charles Williams, Jimmy Harrison, and Byron Hansel.

The Rev. Ken. Thacker will be an honorary pallbearer
