According to the above mentioned book "Johann Leonhard Klotz came with his father and mother to Pennsylvania from Germany on the ship "Chesterfield" at the age of 15. On Sept. 2, 1749 he signed an Oath of Allegiance to the government at the Philadelpia Court House along with his father, Johann Jacob Klotz, Sr. and brother Johann Jacob Klotz, II."
