Mr. Thomas Lyddane Sr., 78, of Kensington, died Saturday, July 3, at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda.
He was the husband of Irene G. Lyddane.
Born March 19, 1921, in Germantown, he was a son of the late Thomas and Emily Lyddane.
He had served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
He had worked as a driver for the Old Holmes Bakery in Washington for 19 years. He retired from the Western Fence Co. in Rockville where he had worked as a fence installer.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Lyddane enjoyed hunting, basketball and softball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Thomas Lyddane Jr. and wife Maureen of Mount Airy; one sister, Virginia Darby of Gaithersburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, until funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
