Carrie Rae Trabert
■ Carrie Rae Trabert, 87, of Nampa, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995, at Hagelin Hospice House in Nampa. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel. Private committal will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Rae was born July 29, 1908, in Wheatland, Wyoming, the daughter of Godfrey and Edna Borrall Kuehner. She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1926. Rae married Luray H. Trabert on August 20, 1931 at Gering, Nebraska. They lived at Rocky Ford, Colorado, until 1940 when they moved to Nyssa, Oregon, where Mr. Trabert was associated with the Amalgamated Sugar Co. In 1950, they made their home in Twin Falls until Mr. Trabert's retirement in 1971. Since her husband's death in 1973, Rae has lived in Nampa.
Rae enjoyed many happy days traveling and especially enjoyed fishing and camping in the Sawtooth Mountains prior to her husband's death. She loved to play card games and was an accomplished bridge player. She loved people and will be missed by many friends. Above all, however, she cherished her family and relished the hours spent with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Rae is survived by her daughter, Donna Kirkman, and her husband, Wallace, of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Robert Trabert, of Nampa; three grandchildren, Bradley J. Kirkman, of Phoenix, AZ, Edward Trabert of McCall, Holly Lattimer of Caldwell; two sisters, Mary Dunham and Wilma Davis, both of Wheatland, WY; a brother, Roy Kuehner, and his wife, Meredith, of Wheatland, WY, and several nieces and nephews.
Rae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Luray, and a brother, Frank Kuehner.
The family would like to thank Dr. Randell Page and the personnel at Mercy Medical Center for the care given to our Mother and Grandmother. Very special thanks go to the nurses and aides at Hagelin Hospice House for their love and excellent care during Mothers final days. Friends may call at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and until the time of the service on Tuesday.
