THOMAS, Helen Joy age 77, of Bath, Indiana died Monday, December 28, 2009 at the home of her son in Bath, Indiana. Born November 6, 1932 in Liberty, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Wilbert E. & Sarah (Davis) Watterson. She lived much of her life in Bath, Indiana. She was a graduate of the Miami Jacobs Business College. She was retired, and had been employed for over 45 years at the Bath State Bank, having served as President of the Bath State Bancorp, Chief Financial Officer & Trust Officer, Secretary of the Board of Bath State Bancorp, Secretary of the Board of Bath State Bank; and prior to becoming President of the Bath State Bancorp, she served as President of the Bath State Bank. She had also farmed in Franklin County for much of her life. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin & Penny Thomas of Bath, Indiana; two sisters, Jo Ann Kolb of Eaton, Ohio and Edna Campbell of Liberty, Indiana; one brother, Jimmy G. Watterson of Liberty, Indiana; three grandchildren, Nate, Klaytin, and Zachary Thomas, as well as two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert E. Watterson Jr., Jerald K. Watterson, and Richard J. Watterson. Family & friends may visit from 5 till 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following at Old Franklin Cemetery in Franklin County, Indiana.
