Bryan Dateline August 21, 2005 Doris J. Ankenbruck, age 68, of Bryan, passed away Sunday August 21, 2005 in the Dilworth Center in Montpelier, Ohio. Mrs. Ankenbruck was the Divisional Controller at Chase Brass before her retirement in 1990. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bryan where she had been active in the Choir, Bell Choir and played piano and organ. Born June 28, 1937 in Columbia City, Indiana, she was the daughter of Furlow and Cleo (Shelmadine) Burd. She attended Manchester College and graduated from the University of Toledo. She married James B. Ankenbruck on September 28, 1960 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he survives. Her parents and two brothers, Paul and Jack Burd preceded her in death. Funeral services for Doris J. Ankenbruck will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Marrow officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery near Bryan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home in Bryan. Gifts in loving memory of Doris J. Ankenbruck may be given to the First Presbyterian Church or the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospice program.
