Dorothy B. Grasse, age 99, formerly of 909 Ontario Ave. Sheboygan, passed away Friday June 17, 2011 at Sheboygan Senior Community where she had been a resident since June 2008. Fourth child of the late William and Minnie (Lau) Kramer was born March 24, 1912 at 1111 Swift Avenue in Sheboygan. Dorothy attended Bethlehem Lutheran School. She was united in marriage to Karl Edgar Grasse on Feb. 4, 1933 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of which she was a lifelong member. Karl preceded her in death on April 5, 1975. Dorothy embraced Karl's two children Ruth and Jack as her own.
Dorothy is survived by two sons Jack Grasse of Howards Grove, Tom (Millie) Grasse of Sheboygan, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, a very special nephew (in-law) Ralph Dottai as well as other nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Karl, daughter and son-in-law Carol and Edwin Blancher, step daughter-in-law Rogene Grasse, step daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Paul Willadsen, sister and brother-in-law Hildegard and David Yurk, brother and sister-in-law Walter and June Kramer and a brother Arthur Kramer.
Family and friends may call at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave. Sheboygan on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Alan Kubow officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
