A lingering illness proved fatal to Mrs. Mabel Donna Razor, 72, who passed away last Wednesday at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. She was a devout member of the Church of God for more than 50 years. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at two o'clock at Slaty Point Church followed by interment in the nearby Slaty Point Cemetery.
Mrs. Razor was a native and life long citizen of Rowan County, being born June 4, 1894, daughter of the late Solomon Ralston and Lula Razor. On August 15, 1915 she married Allie Razor, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Moore, Farmers, and three sons - Eugene, Claude and Ewell, all of Farmers. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Effie Clay, Centerville, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Reverends Lawrence Colliver and Hershell Moore conducted the funeral. Lane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The casket bearers - Billy Gene Razor, Gary Razor, Gary Bowen, Darrell McKenzie, Clyde Caldwell and Ott Caldwell.
