One of the best known citizens of the Farmers (Rowan County) area, Allie Razor, 76, passed away Monday at the residence on U.S. 60. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Razor was in good health until the massive seizure from which he failed to rally. Funeral services were conducted yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at Slaty Point Baptist Church, followed by burial in nearby Slaty Point Cemetery. Reverends L. E. Colliver and Hershel Moore conducted the funeral.
Mr. Razor was born in Bath County June 26, 1893 but lived most of his adult life at Farmers. On August 15, 1916 he married Mabel Ralston who preceded her husband in death. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Moore, RFD 1, Morehead; and three sons - Eugene Razor, Claude Razor and Ewell Razor, all of Farmers. Other immediate survivors are two brothers - Tom Razor and George Razor, both of New Castle, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Razor mostly engaged in farming and the timber business. He was a member of the Church of God. Lane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
