Mrs. Christina Rexilius is Dead
Funeral Services will be held this Afternoon at One Thirty
Mrs. Christina Rexilius, a well-known resident of this city, passed to the Great Beyond, at her home on First Street, Tuesday evening about 10 o’clock. Mrs. Rexilius had been ailing for the past eighteen years, but was always up and around. The past two weeks she gradually grew worse and last Saturday had to take to her bed, passing away Tuesday evening. Death was caused by a general breakdown and old age.

The deceased who maiden name was Christina Zende, was born in Patars-Hagen, Germany, March 12, 1834. She was united in marriage to William Rexilius, in Germany in 1857, who preceded her in death fifty-seven years ago. Mrs. Rexilius came to this country thirty years ago, settling at Uberville, east of here, until twenty-six years ago, when she moved to this city, residing here since. Three children survive to mourn her death; namely; John Rexilius of this city, Wilhelmina (Mrs. Henry Klumb) of the town of Barton; and Augusta Rexilius of this city. One son Charles, preceded her in death thirteen years ago.
The funeral will be held in Friday afternoon, at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o’clock, at the Peace Lutheran church, Rev. A. von Rohr officiating. Interment will take place in the Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Rexilius was a quiet, home-loving person, always ready to do a kind deed and her death is sadly mourned by her relatives and many friends.
