Joseph and Flora had their first three children , Dicie B. Boyle, b. 1905, named after Joseph's grandmother I assume, (Dicie "Stafford" Alexander), and Oda B. Boyle ,b. 1907, Lois in 1914, all born in Erath County, Texas,
Andy born in Palo Pinto in 1916 and Mary born in Eastland County in 1922.
Andy died in Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington in 1981. Oda died in 1992 in Bexar Co., Texas, it is unknown at this time when and where the other children died.
Dicie B. married Lenton Leroy Brown in 1927. Lenton died a month shy of his 44th birthday in 1944.

Joe's wife Flora was visiting family when she became very ill with influenzia and died, her father was caring for her, she died in Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas. Her parents were Silas A. Sheek, and Mary N. Hutson.
Her father's family were from Texas and her mother's family from Georgia .

When Joseph died in 1953 his son Oda B. signed his death certificate.
