OBITUARY: Racine-Times Jun 21, 1965 Page 8B "ALPHONSE J. ROBERTS, 1540 Isabelle Ave. Age 74. Passed away June 19, 1965 in St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Roberts wa born in France on Dec. 29, 1890 and had lived in Racine for the past 56 years. He was a veteran of World War I and before retiring in 1956 had been employed by the Halversen Construction Co. for 11 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and American Legion Post 76. Surviving are his wife, Genevieve; two daughters, Mrs. James (Marclyn) Hampshire of Kenosha and Mrs. Leslie (Marilyn) McHargue; five sons, Eugene, James, Jerome and Frank, all of Racine and William of Burlington; 20 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. in the Acklam Funeral Home and 9 a.m in St. Patrick's Church, Rev. Gerard Clark officiating. Entombment will be in Garden Crypts, Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the ACKLAM FUNERAL HOME, 729 Grand Ave., this (Monday) afternoon after 4 o'clock. The Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:30. The family prefers gifts to the Church Building Fund."
